Busy Friday afternoon

I didn't plan for the day to be busy.  In fact, I was happily knitting indoors when the strength of the sun overwhelmed me.  It was nearly 50 degrees outside and gorgeous sunlight was streaming through my front windows, and I knew it was time for some recreation.  Clearly, every creature in the household needed some fresh air and bright sunlight!

Lulu out walking in the grass--see? No snow, and my bulbs are beginning to poke out.

The boys playing a game of tag/catch/dodgeball.

Doodle lost, I think.
Here's silly Murphy all ashamed of his tie-out.

We were out for two hours or so, and then I remembered that my oatmeal-wheat pretzel dough was in the breadmaker.  I began shaping them with Doodle and Beatle underfoot--we decided on an initial theme this week, and used coarse sugar to accent them.  Mmmmm.

Around that time, my sister arrived for dinner and I realized that I had an hour to get the fried rice and the pretzels finished.   Thanks to dh taking over the kids, everything worked out.

I am now ready for the episode of Office waiting on the DVR, pajamas, and the weekend.
