Vacation

I managed to convince my seriously-homebody husband that we needed to go see my family in the South.  As in, major driving and time away from home.  He's okay with daytrips, but for this kind of journeying, we needed at least a week.  He agreed, which tells me that he LOVES me (but I knew that!).

Look at that!  No rocks!  Just feet sinking into smushy, burning-hot sand.

The view

It was just gorgeous--more than I remembered.  I could come back to this place, and hopefully I can convince my loving husband to do it!

My mother and girls

We caught up with my brother's family at the park where my children met their children for the first time.

My aunt and uncle who put all six of us up in Roanoke--that's hospitality!

All for this lady, my grandmother

We hadn't seen her in several years, what with pregnancies, babies, health issues, and etc.  It was a visit that was more than past due--she hadn't met three of her great-grandbabies and the oldest she hadn't seen since he was newborn.  She was delighted to see us, and we were so happy to see her, too.

It was a wonderful family vacation!
