It's been a month, and it's not that nothing is going on. It's just that everything is going on. There's been oral surgery, visitors, back-to-school planning, the start of our schoolyear, visitors, and more people visiting. I think that by the end of this week, we'll all be so ready to settle into a routine that it won't even be painful (not that routine is ever painful for me!).
In the midst of all of this hustle and bustle, I have been trying to discern the Good Lord's opinion (or Will, as it may be) on a certain issue. All in good time I'm sure it will be revealed, but sometimes I wish it were as simple as checking facebook. A status update for God: that would be helpful. A little comment on the day's activities, or some suggestion about where things should go now.
That's not going to happen, so I'll have to go with the old standby of praying for patience and trying to simmer down a little. "Be still and know that I AM" resonates with me, but being still has never been my strength. Let me settle into my little routine, then, and get busy on the work I have in front of me.
