I finished my nephew's sweater and decided to sneak in that tie for dh. Now Doodle wants one, too, and it's a good project for Easter. I'm making Beatle's Easter dress, so why not something knitted for him, too? With my LYS' Superbowl sale, I picked up some DK yarn--I've since learned that knitting a tie with fingering weight takes a lot of patience.
But knitting isn't the only area for projects. Lately I've been thinking that I'd love to have a clothesline in my basement. It takes 3 cycles to get the diapers dry, and in the summer I line-dry outside. Since we run the pellet stove in the basement during the winter, I think they'll dry quickly. That fire sucks out a lot of water in the air!
The question is whether to go with something like this portable umbrella thing or to improvise with something along these lines. I think I could rig something because our ceilings are pretty high. The umbrella . . . I'm sure the kids would be very careful with it!
The rigging I could rig for tomorrow's load of diapers, and I have half of the materials. If it didn't work, I wouldn't be out $36. We'll see what happens.
