Things I'm happy about, in no particular order

1.  I've been to an amazing Franciscan-run center for assistance with anxiety, and for the first time I believe someone might be able to help me out.  No offense to the doctors, but essentially they turned me loose with this wretched condition and said, "Good luck!"  What else could they do, I know!  Still, I'm in a workshop now to learn skills to tell my body to knock it off when it gets all out of whack.
2.  At the same time, I'm learning to apply old and rusty (and fledgling) sewing skills . . . I'm going to start quilting.  On the weekends.  I'm saving my knitting for during the week, because I still love it.
3.  After seeing many beautiful fabrics and also admiring the work of others, I decided to act on an impulse that surfaces every now and again.  I'd love to be able to put together something useful and pretty.
4.  I bought (perhaps a bit optimistically) some fabric.  I'm either going to try this quilt, this one or this one.  They look definitely within the range of my skills!
5.  Some fabric was on clearance--I'm thinking that will be for Henry.
6.  This really cute stuff I got on ebay:
One of these has owls

More kid fabrics

Cowboys?!

Great oranges

6.  The baby--aka Chunky Pig--is sleeping in my arms right now.  It's his reward for taking a 3 hour nap this morning and then behaving well during Daily Mass.
7.  We spent History today looking at pictures of the archangels and reading the accounts of their brief interludes with us. What wonderful, hope-filling creatures they are!
8.  Among the many marvels of creation, I think angels fill me most with a sense of God's love and concern for us.
9.  Which calls for angel-shaped sugar cookies, with colored sugars.
