From my baby, Lulu:
- The way she's reading "car," "bicycle" and "bus" along with me. She says "BOOK!" with gusto.
- How she entangles herself in my hair and limbs when I'm trying to do yoga. Her face lights up when I'm on the ground, especially
- The sprouting wisps of hair--so soft!
From Beatle:
- Her homemaking practice, and how irritated she gets when someone ruins her work (I know how she feels!). Lately she cooks, talks on the phone, neatens and organizes.
- How she asks me about my knitting. There's a future knitter!
From Doodle:
- His giggles when we read "bum" in phonics (doubly hilarious it was when he mistook the /b/ for /d/)
- The way he jumps with me when I'm doing Wii Fit obstacles
From FooFoo:
- How his attempts at humor are more hit than miss lately
- How much he is like his Uncle Fred with his goofy "hypotheticals"
Finally, there's the Dog, who's usually annoying me in some way. I'm not a dog person, and I make no apologies about that. But I'm caught off guard by the ways he delights me.
- He's way cuter than other Bostons I've seen.
- His muscular, flexed body is full of energy and life. I grabbed onto him once while he was pulling on a toy, and I could feel how vivacious that dog is.
That's every day for me--surrounded by all these wonderful, delightful experiences. I take 'em with me, and suddenly it's not such a burden to wash all those poopy diapers.
