The tie

I don't know what it is with this tie project. I've tried it now several times, and I can't get the increases. I can't see what I'm doing with this fingering yarn. I get stubborn, too, because I'm convinced that double-knitting is the way to go. But I may scrap that idea for now until I do a simpler dk project--one with no shaping that's in the works.

I'm thinking of doing a cutesy Valentine's Day-themed tie. So as not to waste this beautiful crimson yarn--the color is gorgeous, and if I were a better blogger I'd post a pic--I may double-strand and knit on dpns. Just a little embellishment . . . nothing too crazy for my dear husband.

For now, I'm happily on to Doodle's sweater--the one I promised him and keep finding other projects to do instead. If I figure our this heart tie, I'll just work on the sweater in the am and pm, and the tie during the day.
