I've been experimenting with recipes from my KA Whole Grain cookbook. Many are delicious. Many of the cookie recipes I've tried have been disappointing. Not all: the biscotti is fantastic, and so are the Russian Tea Cakes made with barley flour and oats. This one was not. It sounded good: oats, cinnamon, toasted nuts. But it just didn't turn out--the cookies spread too much and baked unevenly. I know that's partly due to my gas oven, which is not ideal for baking. Still, I think there is something fundamentally wrong with the recipe.
