40 Days, 40 Bags

For Lenten decluttering, I've mostly thinned out old and small clothing from the boys.  Foo Foo is growing, but his clothing has worn thin.  Not worth saving for Doodle, who wouldn't be wearing that size for another eight years.

This morning I went through my kitchen and bathroom.  I have very little cabinet space, so it was nice to find a few things here and there to donate:  2 bags' worth of gadgets, tableware and odd ends.

I'm thinking of going through the girls' clothing.  There's a lot of it.  I'm a little ashamed.  When I found out about Beatle, I was so excited that I went a little exuberant preparing for my first girl.  All the pink!  All the dresses!  All the wonderful, non-chino/polo outfits!

Then when Miss Lulu came on the scene, unfortunately she was "off-season" and small.  She's still wearing size 12 mos, and many things that people bought as gifts for her went unworn.  Do I give these things away?  Do I save them in case there's another Baby Girl King?  Right now I've got two large bins stuffed full of baby girl clothing for the first 12 mos!  I'm thinking our local Birthright could make better use.

I've also got some cloth dipes that I don't use.  We use cloth through the infant size, and then we do a modified form of ipt.  I haven't used those dipes on the girls at all.  I should ebay them.

I'm thinking the kids' DVD collection could be pared back, too.  A lot of those shows are on the Roku now, and that's much more convenient.  Some other child I'm sure would love our Bob the Builders and Blue's Clues.

That's where I am these days with this Faith & Family challenge:  how's it going for you?
